Great collection!!
I have just started collecting soviet medals.
I was wondering if you had any documented Order of the October Revolution, or Order of Labor Glory 2nd Class, or Order of Glory 2nd Class medals for sale. Thanks!

Amazing collection!!
I have just started collecting soviet medals. I only have 2, a red star, and a red banner of labor. I was wondering if you had any documented Order of the October Revolution, Friendship of Nations, or Order of Labor Glory 2nd Class medals for sale. Thanks!

I am also looking for the Order of Glory 2nd Class No. 979, and just to make it even more impossible it is a border reverse!
Cheers,
Tony |
---------------- Dear Tony, both orders, especially if you want that particular number are exceptional and I have no idea where to get them. I have one border order of glory...the only one I held in my hand in 8 years!
Sorry not to be of more help,

Hi,
I need an Order of friendship. I don't mind if it's a copy (must be priced as a copy of course) because it is to hang on a General's uniform. Documentation not required either. I started out primarily as a uniform collector (KGB and Air Force, Army and MVD)and not a medal collector. I dress the uniforms and have ended up with a huge collection of medals.
Unfortunately I have nothing to trade because I need everything I have.
Best regards,
Adrian Streather,
Switzerland. |
---------------- Hi Adrian,
I will ask around, have seen good fakes but no "real copies", there is a site on my links page that sells copies, have you tried there?

To Whom it May Concern,
I am interested in purchasing Medal Ushakov and Order of Patriotic War 1st Class Type 2 Variation 1. I live in New York and would like to receive an estimated amount for the purchase of these medals and information on how I can buy them. Thank you for your help and I happened to notice you are from Moldova as well, looks like it really is a small world. I appreciate your help.
Thank You,
Sergey |
---------------- Hi Serghei,
not from Moldova, just lived there for some time. As to an Ushakov medal...upwards of 2000-3000 USD, plus document or mint condition, but there are fakes as you know well.
Type 2 patriotic war, honestly do not know now, they simply disappeared of the market (except regular dealers, see their websites).

Hello
What would your price be for the most common Order of Lenin example that you may have for sale? Also,
What would the price be for the Order of the Red October?
Thanks very much.
Best Regards,
Steve |
---------------- I do not sell, just excahnge, common Lenin order without docs these days (type 5 & 6) around 1250 USD, October revolution (type 2) 500-600, without docs,

May I say, a very well researched and documented site. The best one I've come across so far on the net. I am particularly interested in an order of Lenin w/document or by itself. Can you tell me if you have any available and or price.
Regards,
Jamey |
---------------- Dear Jamey, thanks for the compliment, wish I had more time for it... Lenin, without document minimally 1250 but have see it on offer for 1500USD often...prices are mad...

Greetings,
I am also a serious collector of USSR orders, medals and especially the WW II distinctive service badges for outstanding cook, mechanic, etc., etc.
I am located in Wisconsin, USA but have a friend in Lithuania who has traveling contacts looking for these items.
Your web site is wonderful.
Where are you located?
Best wishes,
Colin |

| My father in law was in the Soviet Army in the immediate post war era. He told me that he was part of a Soviet army that was ready to occupy Romania when some people there agitated for independence from the Soviet bloc. In any event they didn't move in, as the Romanian army felt it was better that they do the job. He told me that he was awarded a medal for this event but has lost it. Would anyone be able to identify its name please? |
---------------- Could be any medal of quite a few, probably military, either for merrit, years of service, for fraternal (even though this one came into being much later) etc. but there was no medal for the event as such, sorry, cannot help more...the reason would have been stipulated in the order by which the medal was awarded
