Avers:ancient fortress of Tiraspol on the Dniester and stylized rosette with the inscription 1793 indicating the year the fortress was founded to guard the outereaches of the Russian Empire against Ottoman Turks at the top. Ribbon with " "(The Fortress of Tiraspol) below the rosette. The name of the series" " (Ancient fortresses on the river Dniester) is written in semicircle at the bottom.
