Type 3 Variation 1 R1
Red Star

Instituted on 6.4.1930 with some 4 million issued. This is the type 3 variation 1 with sharp edges (variation 2 had round tips of star) in number range 242653-608416. Like with var. 2 the bajonet points between the letters so (with variations 3&4 it pointed between the letters o&e). In excellent condition with a fine patina. It's number 512361 dates it to 1942 (so called Monetny Dvor, flat star edges, no screwpost base). I got it from a collector in Odessa, it is one of my lowest Red Star numbers.
