Version 2R2
For Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR 3rd Class

Established 28 October 1974 at the instigation of Leonid Ijich Brezhnev who wanted to see a new order (opulent at that) to be added to the Soviet award system. About 70.000 were issued (only 13 first class and 600 2nd class), nick-named "crab", about 2 ounzes of silver, constructed of four parts. In very good condition but with minor traces of wear - as opposed to a non-issued piece (no. 98.283) but without document. I also have one with number 126.655, also without document but with minor traces of wear as opposed to a non-issued piece.
